Carmelo showed his friend LeBron a loss in both head-to-head games this year.

Carmelo wins Round 2, also...

Not far after the opening tip-off, LeBron received the ball after a Ricky Davis steal, drove to the hoop, made the bucket and got fouled by Anthony. The Nuggets were quickly down 7-0, and looked sluggish. The packed house was quickly restless (shall we call them new fans?) but I was as relaxed as the Nuggets were from my upper balcony perch. The Nuggets then outscored the Cavs 32-19 the rest of the quarter to go up 32-26 after 1.

The Nuggets bogged down again in the 2nd quarter and the Cavs played with good energy. They were outscored 34-24, for a 4 point halftime deficit.

At halftime, the announcer told the crowd about Carmelo Anthony being named Western Conference Rookie of the month for November, and Voshon Lenard was named NBA player of the week for the Western Conference. To top things off Nuggets mascot Rocky hit the underhand style, backwards, half-court shot that he has perfected over the years.

In the 3rd, the Nuggets defense picked up and the Cavs got cold. Andre Miller, Voshon, and Carmelo all heated up. Especially Carmelo, who scored 20 of his 26 points in the 2nd half on 7-of-11 shooting.

In the 4th quarter, it was Earl time, as Boykins held off the Cavs with 4 baskets and 4 assists.
