Dirk was so hot in this game, I'm pretty sure he even hit this shot...

No Melo, 1/2 Martin = equals No Win

Dirk is the man. You have to respect game, and Dirk had more of it than the Nuggets could handle... plenty more. His court mate Finley wasn't too shabby either, but Dirk's 36 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists are what did in the Nuggets.

Kenyon Martin actually did a decent job of covering Nowitzki in the first half, helping hold him to just 13 points. But, with Martin sidelined with a back injury all of the second half, Nowitzki led his team from a 9 point halftime deficit to an easy 14 point win.

The fourth quarter was never in doubt as the Nuggets could only muster 9 points on offense. Missing in action for the fourth straight game was the Nuggets #1 offensive weapon, Carmelo Anthony.

Andre Miller led the Nuggets in scoring for the 3rd straight game with 18 points. Buckner had a decent game, scoring 15 on 50% shooting to fill in for some of the injured Nuggets stars. Martin was definitely having a good game scoring 15 in the first half on 70% shooting.

Earl Boykins also had a great first half, but unlike Martin, he played the second half, but his game disappeared. In the first half, Earl looked like the guy that was winning games during the 8 out of 10 winning streak, shooting with confidence (and hitting those shots) and wreaking havoc on the other team both offensively and defensively. (3 steals) In the second half, he more resembled his recent self, passing up shots, missing the open ones, and getting exploited defensively.

I was at this game with my shiny new Kodak digital camera. (Thanks Mom and Pop!) Pictures will be posted in the NH forums shortly.
