DerMarr and the Nuggets passed their way to 27 assists and another big win Sweep Pacers for first time in 19 yearsHottest team in the NBA? Maybe not, but the Nuggets can at least make a case, as they own the longest current win streak in the NBA, with their 5th coming at home against the Pacers. The Nuggets reversed their recent trend of finishing games strong, but they had just enough in the 4th quarter to hold off the feisty Pacers and preserve the win. Carmelo Anthony and and Marcus Camby put in strong performances to lead the way. Melo had 28 points to lead the way on 7-14 shooting and 14-16 FTs. Camby had another monster defensive game with 22 rebounds and 7 blocks, but he was also a major factor on offense too with 17 points and a team leading 7 assists. Miller had a quiet night, but the Nuggets offense clicked anyway, with 27 assists on 31 FG. The Nuggets bench was outscored 28-48, contributing to the Pacers late surge to attempt to make the game interesting in the end. For those of you keeping track, the Nuggets are now 12-4 since Coach Karl took over, and they moved into a tie with the Lakers for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Hopefully both Nene and Martin will be back soon, but for this night the Nuggets played just fine without them.
