Melo recovers from slow start to lead Nuggs to another road win

... and Kenyon Martin finally had his back.

Carmelo Anthony had another dominant performance that might just let him squeak into the All-Star game this year. (Keep voting Nuggets fans!) It's a crowded race, but Melo is having an incredible year and is willing this short-handed team to wins.

The Nuggets were able to shrug off a very poor shooting first half that put them 18 pints down with great efforts from Melo, Martin, and Earl Watson.

Trailing by 5 with just over 2 minutes to go, the Nuggets were stronger down the stetch. After clawing to within 2 points, with less than a minute to go, Andre Miller drove baseline, got cut off, and spun to find a trailing Watson. Watson received the ball, and immediately launched a three that ripped the cords and gave the Nuggets the lead. When Chicago missed 2 opportunities to score, Martin put in a miraculous left-handed shot off the glass between 2 defenders. Chicago missed another 3 point attempt and Melo made 2 free throws to make it a 5 point lead. The Bulls Ben Gordon hit a long 3 to bring the lead back to just 2, but Melo hit 1-2 free throws to give the final margin as Chicago missed a final desperation shot.

Marcus Camby, still out with his broken pinky, was great in an NBA Cares commercial talking about Martin Luther King and community spirit.
