Trade Rumors

I keep hearing the statement that Kiki is looking to rebuild the Nuggets his way. With that said, many of the trade rumours circling involve not just the demanding Nick Van Exel, but also players like Raef LaFrentz, Tariq Abdul-Wahad, and James Posey.
- New York Knicks - Marcus Camby and Mark Jackson for Van Exel and Posey.
- Blazers - Damon Stoudamire, Bonzi Wells and possibly Dale Davis for Van Exel, LaFrentz and Abdul-Wahad
- Timberwolves - Terrell Brandon for Van Exel
- Toronto Raptors - Jerome Willams and Chris Childs for Van Exel
- New York Knicks - Marcus Camby, Mark Jackson and Travis Knight for Van Exel and LaFrentz
Personally, the only trades I’m excited about here are the ones that only involve Van Exel. I don’t want to give up on Posey at this point and we’d have to get a promising young gun for LaFrentz or we’re giving up too much. It gets really old going against team after team that have ex-Nuggets in their starting line-ups.

The trade deadline of February 21st approaches quickly. I don’t think it will be healthy to still have Nick on the team at that point, but I don’t want to see Kiki give up LaFrentz or Posey just to get a deal done.
