Marcus Camby, who has yet to play in a regular season game for the Nuggets practiced for the first time this past Thursday, since his October 10th hip surgery.
Nuggets trainer Jim Gillen said Camby had “very little soreness.” on Friday. Gillen said it’s too early to establish a precise timetable as to when Camby might return. Asked if an early January return has been ruled out, Gillen said, “Oh, no. Not at all. (Camby’s recovery) has been very encouraging so far.” Gillen says Camby will be ready to participate in contact drills in a “couple of weeks.”After that, Gillen said, “not a lot of time” would be needed for Camby to be ready to play. “I’m feeling pretty good,” said Camby, who is hopeful of returning in early January.
