Nuggets future is bright

February 21st, 2008 by aswitzer

Am I referring to the fact that the Nuggets resisted shaking things up today in a trading deadline deal? No, but I am happy that they stood relatively pat. More on that later though.

I’m actually referring to the exciting news from earlier in the week that might have slipped past you as a Nuggets fan, with all the buzz about Western Conference teams making major trades to try and give them an edge in one of the tightest playoff races from seed 1 thru 8 that the NBA’s seen in years.

THe NBA announced that Denver will play Phoenix in an outdoor preseason game for only the second time in league history. The only other time the NBA has played an official game outdoors was in 1972 when the Suns played the Bucks in Puerto Rico.

The game will be played October 11th at Indian Wells Tennis Garden in California. Tennis fans will be familar with the site as the host of the Pacific Life Open Tournament on the bright blue court.

The game will be televised nationally on TNT.

Damn first thats a honor to play a game like that and shows the league think the Nuggets are a atrative business oportunity, then i don´t understand if that will be held in California why no California team will play even if it´s a preseason game?
I will try to get a ticket to the game as it will be fun to feel that athmosphere for sure.
